> When does registration open?
February 14, 2012 – Registration fees are non-refundable!
> Is there a capacity limited?
Yes, 500 Full Marathon participants; 1,000 Half-Marathon participants
> Has or will the event sell out?
Yes, for the past 3 years this event has sold out.
> I am injured and/or cannot run the event (family commitment, work obligation, etc.). Can I get a refund, donate my entry or transfer my entry to someone else?
NO, The Sale and/or transfer of race entry/bib is strictly prohibited and will result in the disqualification and/or banning of any individuals involved from future events. All entry fees are non-refundable.
> If I provide medical documentation of my injury or pregnancy, will you give me a refund?
NO, All entry fees are non-refundable.
> Will you have gear check?
Yes, If you want to store anything, our Gear Check area is located at the Start / Finish area. All gear checked. Any items left at any Aid Station will be transported to the Finish Area once the aid station has closed. Do not leave anything valuable or fragile, as we are not liable for its loss or damage. Any unclaimed items on race day will be left in the lost and found at the Start/Finish and if unclaimed by Friday, August 24th, will be tossed or donated to charity. If you’ve lost something please email info@pcmarathon.comand we’ll do our best to reunite you with your belongings.
> Do all participants receive finisher medals?
All “Official Finishers” will receive a finisher medal upon completion of the race. Please note that participants who cross the Marathon Finish Line.
> Is there a time limit on the course?
The course closes at 1:00 p.m. For your safety, we have set up two “Free Ride Home” locations. If you are not at the top of the course (mile 16, Snow Park Lodge) by 10:00 a.m; or the McPolin barn (mile 21) by Noon, you will be stopped, your bib number and chip removed, and you’ll be offered a ride to the finish in a comfy staff car. If you choose to continue against our recommendation, you do so at your own risk.
What is the course elevation?
- Starting Elevation: 6,372’ Newpark Plaza
- Marathon high point: 7,250 at Snow Park Lodge, Deer Valley Ski Resort, mile 15.75
- Half marathon start: 6,372’, climbing to 6,700’ at turn around point

Is there a walker start this year? I have so enjoyed that opportunity in the past!
Yes we will offer an early start for walking participants. Be sure to register as a “Walking Participant”. Walking participants should head out with the knowledge that there will not be support on course initially. It’s advisable to carry water and a headlamp, and know the first few miles of the course in the dark! Plan on being part of the walking group leaving at 5:00a.m.
